I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. New Heater Installed Oct 26, 2016

The heater was ordered on a Friday and I could have gotten it on Wed but I could not have anybody here to receive it till Friday. It arrived on Friday morning just as I finished taking out the old furnace. I had it up and running by Monday, I tried to get the new one as close as possible as the old one in output and so I only got the single stage. I could not find the size as to how wide, deep, or height but that was probably my fault but it worked out great the only difference was the height... more

Replaced a 22 year old Triangle tube heater with the Smart 40. My furnace hardly ever runs to keep my hot water hot unless I am using it. Really holds the heat. I have had it installed about a month now and I think it was a great purchase. A little expensive, but if it last as long as my last one, I'll be happy.
