The oil, a part of Freon makes most plastics parts brittle and replace indoor unit. Install went exactly per instructions. The unit is very quiet. I would also recommend ecomfort’s basic install kit. The wireless thermostat is a nice touch. Works just like a traditional thermostat and is programmable. The indoor unit is 3ft from a tv and 4ft from a fluorescent light. I have not seen any interference.
