5-star This Product Seems To Be Doing Very Well. Easy To Install Oct 26, 2016

The Goodman furnace has a very good instruction packet and resources for the DIY person. The furnace is working so well that I would buy a second one in the future when I need one in 20 years. It is too early to determine how reliable the furnace is. This unit is not even a year old. I would recommend Goodman to anyone. Even if you can't install it yourself, if you have a good installer, it should work well for you.

I have extensive building trade skills so installing the AC unit was quite simple for me to tackle myself. I had to have a branch 220v electrical panel added to service the unit. The only problem I had was finding a HVAC contractor to test the unit for leaks prior to firing it up. Since most licensed HVAC contractors don't want to touch so small a job or they don't want the liability of signing off on the leak test if they did not install the unit themselves. Installed this boiler in June 2012 - Very good documentation - Very good response from customer service when I had a question about the controls. Checked on higher efficiency rated boilers but could not justify the much higher price. Until you make up the increase in price with the savings in fuel the unit would be 8 - 10 years old. I installed a WarmWire heated floor in a 6'x8' coat room that had no other source of heat. It is on a concrete slab with 2 outside walls and a wall to an unheated attached garage. I glued 2 6mm thick sheets of Cerazorb synthetic cork directly on the concrete. It was super easy to lay the wire on top on the cork using the metal clip system provided.
