This was my first mini-split installation, and it was time consuming but easy. The system is very quiet while running, easily have a conversation standing next to it and I can't hear it standing around the corner of the building, 10' away. The installation is on a semi-secluded lake cottage with only nature for ambient noise, it is that quiet. I turn it on high in the evening, and it cools down my 834 sq.ft house in about 5 to 10 minutes. Then I turn it to low, leaving a front & back window cracked, it keeps house cool all night....and VERY QUIET!! Totally satisfied.
