5-star Works Very Well, Good Customer Service From Ecomfort May 28, 2016

I installed the indoor and outdoor units myself including all the electrical work. Initially I installed GFCI circuit breaker per Daikin's installation manual, but it tripped every time the compressor cycled on. I replaced it with regular 20A, 220V, single-phase circuit breaker and it's worked fine ever since. I had a certified HVAC tech install the line sets and test for leaks.

Love this unit! Installed in the fall, it cools well yet can put out satisfyingly uncomfortable amounts of heat when it's 20F outside and throttles down very low to match demand. Thermostat is rather unintuitive to use all its features and you have only one set of temps in auto mode, but if you don't mind switching from heat mode to cool mode yourself you can program it any way you like. Replaced an 80k BTU unit with this one. Install was a breeze even considering the old unit was a floor mount and this one hangs on the wall. My HVAC guy showed up just as I was completing the wiring and it took him about 30 minutes to program it and run through a cycle. It's fast! I took a half-hour long shower, and by the time I'd dried, dressed and went to the utility room it was on standby........
