Ran unit Feb. 1 2016 heating very good super quiet, very please with it. Now waiting to run in cooling mode to see how it controls hot weather. I'll give it a 10 rating for now.

I just wish it was more simple to figure out which connectors were needed. The description should be simpler. All I wanted was 1/2" copper connections but somehow the unit showed up with PEX connections. Overall good radiator though.

Big Leak And Needed Replacing After 2.5 Years! Mar 30, 2016

We had this water heater (Amtrol Hydromax HM-80) installed as part of a remodel in Dec 2013. Over the weekend (end of June 2016) it started a fountain out of the top and was getting everything around it soaked. Called service Monday morning, they said, yup, seen this before. Needs full replacement which is covered by the 7 year warranty however, their labor at $700 is NOT covered. I'm pissed. Also questioning what better brand we should buy. The thermostat is fine. When I ordered it, they sent the horizontal version by mistake, but as soon as I let them know they sent the proper vertical one asap. Thanks!
