Our main house is cooled by a 2.5 ton conventional a/c. I replaced that unit in June with a new American Standard (Trane) a/c. On the back of the house is a Florida room 44' x 12' that was not air conditioned. Three sides of the room are sliding glass doors, circa 1989, overlooking a lake and facing east. I purchased the Gree duct units and installed in adjacent closets to the 4 rooms with grills on the walls. The connection pipes were run through the attic to the compressor. It was a lot of work to make the cutouts in the closet walls but the units work great, take up unused overhead space in the closets and are quiet! Use Vibration Dampening Nov 04, 2016

I finally got this installed and working. I like the copper heat exchanger and the compact size. I mounted the first one to concrete walls to avoid vibration above. It took some adjusting to get the louvers to stop vibrating and making noise. It looks like a slick little heater and I expect it will last longer than me. The only down side is the vibration from the fan. I'll have to cut the pipe and put in some vibration dampening. It carries the vibration through the pipes into the hangers... more
