The heater was ordered on a Friday and I could have gotten it on Wed but I could not have anybody here to receive it till Friday. It arrived on Friday morning just as I finished taking out the old furnace. Our main house is cooled by a 2.5 ton conventional a/c. I replaced that unit in June with a new American Standard (Trane) a/c. On the back of the house is a Florida room 44' x 12' that was not air conditioned. Three sides of the room are sliding glass doors, circa 1989, overlooking a lake and facing east. I had the furnace installer install his programmable thermostat when he installed the new furnace & AC unit. I previously had a thermostat I liked that he threw away. This thermostat cannot be programmed to the same temperature on the heating and cooling cycle. They are always 3 degrees apart. If my wife, on oxygen, is hot, and the thermostat was set to heating, I need to change to cooling, and reprogram it 3 degrees cooler, through the whole cycle, or it will reset later in the day,... more

I have used Modine free standing gas fired heaters for some 28 years in Greenhouse application. They say nothing last for 20 years, yet I have 2 of 18 that have lasted that long.
