Apr 20, 2016 After researching many brands of ductless mini splits I decided on Daikin. They are a front runner in industry and edge out the Mitsubishi in performance. I installed the system myself and was pleased with the detailed instructions. You still need a certified HVAC installer to test the system for leaks and release the refrigerant. This last one less so. Great product. Made is USA. Cast iron. Will last forever my plumber tells me. Still 84% efficient. Doesn't need yearly maintenance like the higher efficient junk out there. That high efficient junk also requires a power vent that is super loud. Consider that too in your purchase. This Burnham is very quiet. No power vent. I had only turned on the heat for the first time as it just got cold. The kids complained... I said jump around and warm up, I will turn on the heat. They jumped alright... Right on the heater waiting for the heat to rise from it until they got off and said their feet were wet. Ordered the radiator and it came within 2 days.
